Assembly Instructions: The image shows what the 2 part bushing looks like and what it should look like installed in a base.  Assembly sometimes requires a bit of force to compress together.  Some customers have put the top bushing in the base, flip it upside down then install the bottom bushing and lightly hammer them together with a spot of glue in between.
